Team Green (Psychiatric Rehabilitation)

Team GREEN (Growth, Recovery, Empowerment, Encouragement and Networking), our Psychiatric Rehabilitation (PSR) Program, is a recovery based program that provides growth and developmental opportunities for adults with mental illness or co-occurring disorders, focusing on moving toward independence. The purpose of PSR services is to re-engage individuals in the community. This program meets four days a week between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Recovery Support Day is the last Wednesday of every month. We invite friends, family, and other members of the community to come participate in the program on Recovery Support Day.

Activities at PSR vary widely and can include anything from assisting members in obtaining a drivers license to education and training intended to aid them in securing a job or housing. Other units include meal preparation, daily living skills, and interpersonal and social skills. Staff at PSR is available to provide case management, crisis intervention, and skills building services.

The overall focus of psychiatric rehabilitation is to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills they will need to live independently in the community. Psychiatric rehabilitation works from an integrated, goal oriented philosophy to help members realize their personal recovery goals. Team GREEN emphasizes the importance of doing with and not for individuals participating in the program.
